Brand Manager
Role Overview
Cocoon Inc. is seeking a Brand Manager to be responsible for building, protecting, and advancing the company’s brand across all marketing channels. This role blends strategic brand stewardship with hands-on tactical marketing execution, requiring a professional who can both define brand direction and actively create content. The ideal candidate is comfortable translating complex, technical concepts into clear, compelling messaging tailored to government, defense, and aerospace audiences. The Brand Manager will collaborate closely with leadership, sales, engineering, and external partners.
Key Responsibilities
Brand Strategy & Integrity
Own and evolve the company’s brand positioning, voice, and visual identity.
Ensure brand consistency across all internal and external touchpoints, including digital, print, sales materials, and technical communications.
Develop and maintain brand guidelines and messaging frameworks.
Safeguard brand credibility within the highly regulated aerospace and defense marketplace.
Content Creation & Messaging
Create and oversee high-quality marketing content, including website copy, product descriptions, case studies, white papers, brochures, and thought leadership materials.
Translate complex material science and engineering concepts into accessible, value-driven messaging.
Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure technical accuracy while maintaining clarity and impact.
Support proposal and big content with strong, consistent branding and messaging.
Tactical Marketing Execution
Plan and execute integrated marketing campaigns that support sales objectives and long-term brand growth.
Manage digital marketing efforts, including website updates, email campaigns, and social media.
Support trade shows, industry events, and virtual engagements with branded materials and messaging.
Track marketing performance and optimize tactics based on results and business needs.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner with sales to align brand messaging with customer engagement strategies.
Coordinate with engineering and product teams to stay informed on product innovations and performance advantages.
Work with external agencies or vendors as needed for creative, design, or production support.
Experience & Education
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
5+ years experience in brand management, content marketing, or strategic marketing.
Experience in aerospace, defense, advanced manufacturing, or other highly technical industries
Familiarity with government or military customer environments.
Experience supporting sales enablement or proposal development.
Capabilities
Strong understanding of brand management principles and campaign execution.
Proven ability to create compelling content for technical audiences.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a small-company environment.
Understanding compliance, confidentiality, and messaging sensitivity in defense related industries.
Travel & Work Environment
HQ in NH preferred, will consider remote.
Professional office environment with substantial external and internal collaboration.
